JUST AN INTRODUCTION

GENERAL LIMITATION OF MY STUDY

1.    How I choose a suitable secondary school for my study?.
Limit to a successful secondary school in Sarawak, based on Chan Yuen Fook and Gurnam, 2009 criteria. Furthermore, Sarawak is a big state so that why I want to focus on successful school.

2.    Who should I choose as my respondent and why?.
Principal is the main focus because this study want to potray about leadership style that they use to make their school success. In addition school teacher, students and administration staffs also included because their answer will evaluate how their leader lead according to their perception. That for qualitative method.

3.    Why i choose Sarawak as my case study?.
First of all, their are lacking of study that make Sarawak as their case study.(According to my search engine, maybe their have a research about it but i could not find it). Furthermore, I want to know about education level in Sarawak. It quit interesting to understand some purpose like that.

4.    Why I choose background factors as my variables?.
According to Lokman Mohd. Tahir et al. , 2008, he said that was lacking of details study about this factors especially in Malaysia context.

5.    Why I also choose qualitative method?. That mean it is a mix study and more complicated,is it?.
By using qualitative method I will more understand and get more detail about that school context and situation. I am not only depend on questionaires method. Because we did not know about it reliability and validity. So, interviewing and observation method is a good way to get close with that school through school activities and read some of that school policy documents. (Chan Yuen Fook and Gurnam, 2009)

6.    How do I conduct my interview because their are too wide and a lot of respondent?.
Because of this study focus on leadership style, so in common it close with principal. Teachers and administration staffs are instructional and operational leader. So, this method will replicate Chan Yuen Fook and Gurnam, 2009 methods. In their study they choose some principals, some teachers especially the top management, some prefects (because they also use with school management) as students representative and  Chairperson of the Parent-Teacher Association. And among all of the chosen secondary school I will categories them based on their leadership styles. Then I will choose the best one among the leadership style category for interview. Then, the scope more specific. Maybe one school represent one type of leadership style.

7.    Why I choose to study leadership style?.
Because it related to current issue and field:

“ Sebanyak 11 anjakan yang terkandung dalam Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2013-2025 adalah.........Memastikan pemimpin berprestasi tinggi ditempatkan di setiap sekolah....................."

It is also well-studied. You can see my past pots title “ THE ARTICLES http://edu702e-portfolio.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-article.html. Related to current issue/field and well-studied are one of how we want to choose what kind of issue we want to study, Kor Liew Kee and Teoh Sian Hoon, 2009.

8.    Which school I would choose?. What theory?. Types of leadership?.
That I will find out later. (STILL THINKING)

Faktor latar belakang seperti jantina, latihan pengurusan, pengalaman pentadbiran dan jenis sekolah adalah pemboleh ubah yang dianggap sering mempengaruhi stail kepemimpinan pengetua .....“
